The European Manufacturing NextMaterials (MNM) project supports SMEs in scaling up and sustainability in the manufacturing industry. They often face difficulties in moving to production and entering the market. MNM focuses on addressing these barriers and provides solutions to issues related to production techniques, quality assurance and compliance with legal requirements. After the summer, the second MNM Call will be open from 2 September.Second MNM Call to start after summerThe first Manufacturing NextMaterials Open Call has closed. This Call attracted a number of innovative project proposals. Projects from this round that are approved can start as early as October. The second Open Call is scheduled for autumn 2024, with the deadline for submission on 18 October 2024. If your project is approved in this second Call, you can start scaling up in January 2025!Smarter manufacturing industryManufacturing NextMaterials (MNM) is an Interreg programme aimed at scaling up prototypes to test production, to actually get parts and components made from innovative materials onto the market. This allows the manufacturing industry to respond quickly and efficiently to the growing demand for smart and sustainable products. The MNM project is being implemented under the Interreg VI programme Deutschland-Nederland and is co-financed with €4.14m by the European Union, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, MWIKE NRW, MB Niedersachsen and the provinces of Drenthe, Flevoland, Fryslân, Gelderland, Groningen, Noord-Brabant and Overijssel.
