Workshop Fundamentals of the additive manufacturing process

11

November

On 11 November, the Fundamentals of Additive Manufacturing workshop took place at the University of Duisburg-Essen.

Participants not only received a comprehensive introduction to the possibilities of Additive Manufacturing, but also an in-depth session on 3D printing of different metals.

The workshop offered valuable insights for both beginners and experienced professionals, with practical examples and hands-on experiences that further clarified the future of manufacturing processes and the opportunities AM offers for companies.

We would like to thank the speakers Dr.-Ing. Stefan Kleszczynski and Dr Jan Wegner and the participants for an inspiring and informative day!

This workshop was organised by the Rapid Technology Centre of Universität Duisburg-Essen from the Interreg project Manufacturing nextMaterials (MNM). The MNM project is implemented within the framework of the Interreg VI Programme Deutschland-Nederland and is co-financed by the European Union, MWIKE NRW, the Niedersächsisches Ministerium für Bundes-und Europaangelegenheiten und Regionale Entwicklung, Ministry of Economic Affairs and the provinces of Gelderland, Overijssel, Fryslân, Groningen, Drenthe, Flevoland and Noord-Brabant.
